ABSTRACT
In parasitism or when cultivated at 37°C in speci–c media, H. capsulatum var. capsulatum are small yeast cells (2-4 μm in length) that are ovoid with a narrow base at the smaller end. The variety duboisii differs from the variety capsulatum by producing larger yeast cells (8-15 μm in length).
