ABSTRACT

In the remaining pages, I will revisit these three observations about police reform in China in light of current research ndings reported in this book. I will then close the book with a section I have ttingly titled “Voices of the Police,” which looks into what police o- cers themselves have to say about the reform process. I chose to end this book with “Voices of the Police” because, once again, I want to remind readers that there is a dierent and better way to investigate and understand Chinese policing-that is, by listening to what the Chinese people “think” and “feel” about their police.
