ABSTRACT
The commonly used medical imaging techniques include but are not limited to X-ray computed tomography (X-ray CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET), single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), ultrasonic imaging (US), etc. These modern technologies not only revolutionize traditional diagnostic radiology in medicine, but also provide powerful tools for research in basic science.
