Phanerozoic geology of Egypt

Egypt is located in the NE corner of Africa and bordered on the north by the Mediterranean Sea, on the east by the Red Sea, on the west by Libya, and on the south by Sudan. The Gulf of Suez separates Sinai from the mainland of Egypt.
