ABSTRACT
In outsourcing online, the success of the two organizations is dependent on each other’s success. In traditional outsourcing, contracting with an external entity to take primary responsibility for providing specified deliverables, business process, and functions is not new. When wanting to outsource Web site content development, there are some who want to add content with valuable insight, while there are others who want to put volumes of content. The tiresome task of organizing and preparing content for use on the Web can be outsourced, if one already has the necessary content. Web analytics involves using data to make a decision, but spending time to collect that data is a different ball game altogether. There are some areas that are best suited for insourcing internally over the organization’s intranet web. The areas are application updates, troubleshooting, workstation and server security updates, security and event log review, end user help desk and support, tape back up team and general day- to-day administration.
