ABSTRACT
Proper restraint of a laboratory ferret is critical in order to ensure the safety of both the animal and the technical staff performing the procedures. The appropriate form of restraint (manual, mechanical, or chemical) depends on the nature of the procedure being performed and the disposition of the ferret.
