ABSTRACT

A couple of things must be considered when working with e-mail. When talking either on the phone or in person, we can hear the other person’s tone of voice during the conversation. By that single factor we can tell if what we are saying is being understood by the other person or if it’s angering them. E-mails don’t allow for this. œey are a one-sided communication by the person typing the email. Even though e-mails can be sent back

and forth, without hearing the other person’s voice there is no idea if the conversation is o¢ending the other person or if they understand and agree with what is being written.
