ABSTRACT
Air-cooled chillers, and cooling towers associated with water-cooled chillers, are installed outdoors, presenting numerous problems relative to performance and community noise that can result from poor placement and/or incorrect screening. See sections “Tower Placement and Installation” in Chapter 11 and “Noise and Vibration” in Chapter 14 for discussions on these topics.
