ABSTRACT

When I Žrst started into the study of forensic pathology and homicide, I had a Žrm belief that murder was formulated by people su§ering from a mental disease best recognized as simple schizophrenia. ‡is simply meant that the psychosis was free of dominant descriptive deviations of behavior, for example, paranoid schizophrenia. Now many murderers do su§er from paranoid schizophrenia and kill those who threaten their existence in one way or another. But many murderers will not show paranoia of distinct character; they should be classiŽed as simple schizophrenia cases.
