ABSTRACT
Carrie N. Whitcomb, MSFS, of the University of South Florida, led a successful developmental program for formalization of a separate section for digital sciences within the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS). ‡e multimedia aspect was not the primary driving force for the section, as the problem of assessment on an investigatory level of conŽscated computers by law enforcement was the critical problem at that time. Multimedia was added to the section’s name since it too was a major source of computer activity.
