ABSTRACT

In the arena of governance and politics, the cessation of hostilities proved to be a busy period in the ¡edgling food security concept. Post-war reconstruction as well as existing social and economic issues needed to be addressed on an unprecedented global scale. One of the first efforts in post-war global governance was the introduction of a new far-reaching institution aimed at promoting international collaboration on many fronts. Thus out of the embers of World War I grew the League of Nations.
