ABSTRACT
If the goal is to determine the soil test level for a cropped soil in order to formulate a lime and fertilizer recommendation, then random sampling is the procedure to follow. Systematic or grid sampling is recommended when precision agricultural management procedures are being used, allowing for adjustment to the rates of lime and fertilizer applications based on the fertility status by designated areas.
