Acid-forming fertilizer: A fertilizer that is capable of lowering the pH (increasing the acidity) of the soil following application.
Aglime: Also known as “agstone.” Calcitic or dolomitic limestone that is crushed and ground to a gradation of ƒneness that will allow it to neutralize soil acidity. Usually the material is ground to pass through sieves from 8-to 100-mesh range or ƒner.
