ABSTRACT

The “no blood, no foul” concept has come to mean that the workplace is safe until there is an accident and a resultant injury. A common paradigm is that if there is no injury there is no accident. As long as an organization goes from day-to-day injury-free, then safety is ne. Nobody is being injured so all appears to be in order. Meanwhile, the organization could be experiencing numerous undesired events that do not result in injury or damage.
