ABSTRACT
Technologies for carbon capture and storage (CCS)
are gaining more and more acceptance for mainly
two reasons:
− CCS as a low-carbon solution is considered as an
option for climate protection together with the
utilisation of renewable energies and energy effi-
ciency; and
− CO
can play a role in increasing fossil fuel pro-
duction in the form of enhanced oil recovery, thus
contributing to the generation of revenue.
