ABSTRACT
Exhausted oil gas reservoirs were used as under-
ground gas storage at present in many countries as
USA and Canada for its natural preserving and seal-
ing conditions. In these oil gas reservoirs, aban-
doned wells were often existed which will affect the
sealing properties during the rebuild of the reser-
voirs. Sometimes, the wells were buried deep in the
bed strata and some casing fishes filled inside for
dozens of years which made the situation more
complex. These wells drilled into deep aquifers and
destroyed the integrity of cap rock, which would
cause the gas leakage. So, for the safety of gas sto-
rage and production, it is very important to dispose
these wells and evaluate their effects on the gas sto-
rage.
