REMARKS
Gas storage in salt cavities is nowadays a well – ex-
perienced technology in Germany with a history
over a period of more than 35 years. At the tempo-
rary end of this development cavities with a geomet-
ric storage volume of more than 1 Mio m³ have
been designed and constructed, starting with the first
cavity at the end of the 1960ies having a geometric
volume only of about 35,000 m³.
