ABSTRACT
The evaluation of the efficiency and the systems for
optimization of gas distribution networks is a well
discussed issue in the German gas market. For this
task different kind of tools are discussed and devel-
oped. The main solution are analytic cost models
which are able to show correlations between typical
structural influences and cost drivers to calculated or
estimate grid costs for a certain supply responsibility
of the in charge network operator.
