ABSTRACT

This chapter is meant to serve as an overview of vehicle-related scenes from the perspective of tire track impression evidence, its importance, and some scene parameters that crime scene units should consider when investigating vehicle-involved crimes. This chapter is not an all-inclusive field guide. For that, the reader should consider texts devoted to tire track impression evidence [2,3]. A number of on-scene topics have or will be discussed in other chapters, but vehicle scenes involve scene circumstances that are not found in other scenes.
