ABSTRACT
This chapter covers murder investigations that involve elements of sexual assault, rape, or torture.The murder may be planned as a part of the act or not planned and accomplished in response to a particular set of circumstances (unexpected or planned use of deadly force, inability to render the victim compliant, fear of discovery, and other factors).
