Every load reduction on the WT rotor can produce a multiple chain-effect beneŽt in the machine, simplifying the blades’ structure and weight, and then the drive-train, tower design, foundation, and the required deployment vessel for the offshore installation, as well as increasing the life span and system reliability, and reducing the maintenance costs.
