ABSTRACT
Drugs are usually administered as formulated pharmaceutical preparations. The physicochemical properties of the drug and the physiological factors related to the intended site of drug administration should be considered while developing the pharmaceutical formulation. These formulations should be carefully designed and manufactured using rigorous procedures to produce high-quality products that have the desired specications. This is important to ensure drug stability, dose uniformity,
suitability for the route of administration, consistency in the drug absorption behavior, and patient acceptability.
