ABSTRACT

One signišcant challenge that clinicians face in managing patients with mental illness such as psychosis, dementia, or severe depression is how to balance the therapeutic e“ects against the countertherapeutic e“ects of powerful psychotropic medications. Clinicians and researchers have searched for means to detect subtle changes in the neuromotor system attributable to these medicines to monitor the emergence of side e“ects in patients treated with psychotropic medications.
