ABSTRACT
Managing the health and safety of workers is a never-ending 24/7 job that requires continuous attention and continuous improvements. Improvements in workplace health and safety come about from a concerted effort by leadership and a shared vision by all workers. From an organizational perspective, there must be a ground swell of interest in safe work practices that results in a movement toward a safer workplace where all workers accept the safety of himself/herself and colleagues as a part of his or her responsibility.
