ABSTRACT

Per the discussions of Chapter 1, decision making has been an eternal challenge for various organizations ranging from public administration agencies (e.g., law enforcement organizations) to proŠt-seeking companies. No matter how diversiŠed the managerial issues are, down to the core, it is all about making the right decision at the right time, in the right place, by the right people. In this chapter, we further explore the concept of management and the role of leadership in criminal justice contexts. Upon Šnishing this chapter, we are able to understand how management and leadership have become critical organizational functions to proŠt and nonproŠt entities.
