ABSTRACT

Radio frequency (RF) power amplifiers are used in countless applications at tens of thousands of facilities around the world. The wide variety of applications, however, stem from a few basic concepts of conveying energy and information by means of an RF signal. Furthermore, the devices used to produce RF energy have many similarities, regardless of the final application.
