ABSTRACT
While the previous chapters on in vivo applications of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) have focussed primarily on imaging and drug delivery, this chapter presents an application that is neither diagnostic nor medicinal. Despite being comparatively simple, magnetically marking internal anatomical sites or structures for external localisation is a valuable procedure that can improve the availability and economics of cancer staging.
