ABSTRACT
In 1986, the Statistical Abstract of the United States reported that three-fourths of the combined value of all assets in the country was in the form of real estate. When you consider how much of what Americans own is in the form of cash, bank accounts, stocks, bonds, and other investments, that’s a pretty amazing total.
