ABSTRACT

This chapter offers Internet resources to increase the understanding of commercialization nanotechnology. Small Times is a U. S. technology magazine that features daily articles covering nanotechnology, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), and microsystems through a business point of view covering news, stocks, and the latest nanoproducts. It recently featured the top 10 nanotechnology universities. The University of Albany College of Nanotechnology Science and Engineering (CNSE) was the first college in the world dedicated to global education, research, development, and technology, and specifically to the deployment in the emerging disciplines of nanoscience, nanoengineering, nanobioscience, and nanoeconomics. Performance improvement as a direct result of nanotechnology is being seen in today's military aircraft, cars, bicycles, tennis rackets, golf clubs, etc. The National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network (NNIN) is a partnership of 13 user facilities, supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), providing opportunities for nanoscience and nanotechnology research.
