Systems ecology is applied widely in environmental management and particularly in the ecological subdisciplines, which are the fundaments for ecological, holistic, and integrated environmental management: ecological modeling, ecological engineering, and assessment of ecosystem health or integrity by ecological indicators. ese important applications of systems ecology are presented in this chapter.
