ABSTRACT
While this text is primarily about lasers, this chapter gives descriptions of some of the most common materials that are laser micromachined. It is not intended to be an exhaustive review of any material. Rather, it is simply general comments for the reader who might not be familiar with some of the materials and where or how they are used, how they interact with laser beams, and potential safety considerations.
