ABSTRACT
The photovoltaics are utilized in three broad segments which are generally referred to as (i) additive systems, (ii) ground-mounted systems, and (iii) integrated systems. The additive systems account for major share in Germany with more than 8 gigawatts of PV installed by early 2010. Spain dominates currently in ground-mounted installations as a result of grid-input tariff paid since 2008. France is considered as flourishing market for integrated systems (BIPV) because nearly 95% of the installed PV systems are integrated into building roofs and facades. The on-grid PV capacity in France amounts to 91.2 MW at the end of 2008. This is due to a high grid input remuneration rate given for integrated systems as well as attractive sunny climate (Sun & Wind Energy 2010).
