separated from the levator scapulae. • Usual innervation: Long thoracic nerve from C5, C6 and C7 (Schück 1913b:

H. syndactylus). Kohlbrügge (1890-1892: H. moloch, H. agilis, H. syndactylus) suggests it is innervated from C6 and C7 via the long thoracic nerve but also from the ‘posterior thoracic nerve’—which is a synonym of the long thoracic nerve, so it is not clear what this author intended to convey.
