ABSTRACT
Mom was up with me at 5:00 a.m. I cannot remember a day when both of my parents were not up at 5:00 a.m. She had insisted last evening that I not take any time off work while she visits with me. She said she had plenty of things to read, and she had made plans to meet her new friends at the pool again today. She also said that my location was perfect for some nice walks during the day. As Mom made coffee, I got dressed for work. I planned to stop in to see Jim and Mark first thing this morning. Jim had asked about the difference between cost accounting and cost management-for the third time. I still have this feeling deep down inside that he is going to cave in again. I want to talk with him with Mark in the room so that Mark can help me read between the lines. Then I wanted to talk with Nancy, perhaps very casually over lunch. Of course, the main event of the day was to meet with the A-team to create the Lean P&L.
