ABSTRACT

In some applications where likelihood-based methods are applied to sample survey data there is enough auxiliary information to justify the assumption that the selection method and the survey nonresponse are noninformative given this information. In such cases, the data available for analysis can be restricted to Dobs and ZU . We therefore let BU = {DU ,ZU} denote the underlying population data in what follows, and for ease of notation we set s = obs.
