ABSTRACT

In order to address these issues, scholars are taking an increasing interest in two relevant elds of study, namely, knowledge-intensive business services (KIBSs) and service systems. Their common challenges are twofold: understand how, when, and where service value is created, especially when multiple organizations are involved in developing a service or the knowledge assets that are accessed through a service (service value cocreation), and manage the development, provision, and operation of services, so that service value is realized.
