ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we will study the way to include thermal effects in the modeling of plastic deformations. We will do this in the context of the thermodynamic theory of plasticity, paralleling the development in the chapter on thermoelasticity. One notable difference here will be the explicit introduction of the thermal deformation gradient from the start of the development.
