ABSTRACT
As discussed in Chapter 8, waste treatment is part of an overall framework called the total material network (TMN). Two other important elements that form the TMN are direct reuse/recycle and material regeneration. The automated targeting model (ATM) outlined for the material regeneration network in Chapter 14 is further extended in this chapter for a waste treatment network (WTN) as well as for a TMN.
