ABSTRACT

Resource conservation is one of the most important elements for establishing sustainability in modern society. The growth of global population, overextraction, mismanagement of natural resources, climate change, and global water availability are some of the factors that need serious consideration to achieve the goal of sustainability. Climate change and global water availability are also being emphasized in the planetary boundaries as proposed by Rockstrom et al. (2009). To this end, we are seeking a generic family of techniques that address the various resource conservation problems of similar nature.
