ABSTRACT
The resistance of PBT to moisture, UV -light and heat, both in the presence
of oxygen or in an inert atmosphere is very similar to that of PET. During thermal,
thermo-oxidative, photochemical, photo-oxidative degradation and hydrolytic
decomposition various aromatic products are formed due to the presence of
terephthalic acid and aliphatic fragments of the chains [1].
