ABSTRACT
Visualization displays are also rapidly increasing in both resolution and features. Desktop computer monitors are available at resolutions approaching 60002 pixels. Monitors are being tiled into visualization walls, and large-scale visualization rooms and caves are in use. Innovative delivery systems are being tested, including virtual reality, augmented reality, 3D printing, holograms, and active and passive 3D. Tablets and handhelds are beginning to bring rapid and real-time visualization to the eld, and common le formats such as .pdf are being expanding to support interactive 3D.
