ABSTRACT
This chapter presents some practically important properties of stationary processes, concerning the number of times the process reaches a predetermined level. The famous Rice’s formula, found by Marc Kac and Steve O. Rice [100], for the expected number of level crossings is the key tool for all crossing studies, and it is at the center of this chapter.
