ABSTRACT
The distribution of water on the earth is highly uneven; therefore, sustainable planning and management of water on the earth to ensure environmental protection, economics, and equitability and understanding of water balance are important. For a comprehensive understanding of the hydrological system and its social integration, a knowledge of the hydrologic cycle is vital. The hydrologic cycle is also fundamental to the understanding of the carbon cycle as well as the nitrogen cycle.
