ABSTRACT

Schema CoordinatesD C hapter 8 developed six methods for distributing points on a sphere. The resulting ver-tex coordinates for a single principal triangle or diamond for a subdivided 8ν spherical icosahedron are listed here. Appendix E describes methods for transforming these coordinates to cover the entire sphere without gaps or overlaps. A vertex number diagram and a 3D image indicate the position and orientation of individual vertices within the PPT or diamond. Vertex listings appear in the same order as the schemas presented in earlier chapters:

•  Class I-Alternates and Ford

– Equal-chords

– Equal-arcs (two great circles)

– Equal-arcs (three great circles)

•  Class II-Triacon

•  Class III-Skew
