ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the core processes within the organization are deliberately identi•ed. We critically examine core processes to ensure that they are functioning optimally when measured by resources consumed and contributions (ie, value added) generated. is analysis includes processes that generate intangible bene•ts and processes that consume assets of the organizations such as wealth. For example, marketing processes might generate “goodwill” that is viewed as bene•cial and yet very di¥cult or costly to measure.
