ABSTRACT
Two nurses in Franciscan’s endoscopy department rethought the bronchoscopy kits. It turned out that 65% of the items in the kit were not needed, so the kit was streamlined, resulting in a small cost savings and a very large reduction in nonbiodegradable plastics, as shown in Figure 5.1.
