ABSTRACT
An intranet typically facilitates communication between people or workgroups to improve the knowledge base of an organization’s employees. In its simplest form, an intranet consists of an internal email system and maybe a message board service. Intranets that are more sophisticated may include internal web sites, a database and a document management system.
