ABSTRACT
In this chapter we present some applications to fields in engineering. Electronic, civil, mechanical, chemical and food engineering applications are covered. Of course, we do not pretend to be exhaustive because that would be impossible to do. However, we present some representative examples in those areas. The examples presented include applications of some of the toolboxes available from The MathWorks, Inc., while other examples have scripts written specifically for them. Among the toolboxes used we have the Optimization, Symbolic Math, Control, and Signal Processing toolboxes.
