ABSTRACT
In order to protect citizens, third parties, and other interests related to construction projects, a number of federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations must be followed. Building codes provide minimum standards for the protection of life, limb, property, and environment and for the safety and welfare of the consumer, general public, and the owners and occupants of residential buildings regulated by this code (see Section 2.9 in Chapter 2).
