ABSTRACT
The reliability goal is a statement of how effective the product is expected to be. It is the desired reliability of the product. It is not a requirement. It is a goal. It is a necessary parameter for the reliability engineer to plan subsequent activities. It also serves as the basis for the reliability budget for the device.
